“My name is Lynn, and I am a Yogi. My journey at Repose Yoga in Mount Waverley began 9 years ago at 57 years old.
I have always worked in a job that required long hours on my feet and lifting heavy items, and combined with wear and tear over the years suffered a prolapsed disc which took some time to recover from. Although the pain subsided, I continued to suffer debilitating pain from time to time, especially on long walks and when working in the garden, two of my passions.
One remedial masseuse I attended suggested I try yoga. I began my yoga journey at Repose Yoga in Mount Waverley and how lucky I am to have found Puneeta. I have never looked back from my first class.
I am able to walk several kilometres pain free and spend long days gardening without twinges. Although I still have issues from time to time my yoga practice with Puneeta helps me to re-align my spine and resolve the issues.
Upon retirement a few years ago, I moved to a new home with a very small garden. Although, I had moved far from Mount Waverley, I kept my practice alive via the live streamed classes. Apart from getting someone to rotary hoe to remove grass, I have pulled out unwanted plants, laid sleepers, paving stones and planted an entire garden and continue to maintain it.
Aside from the back issues being managed, I also no longer feel the other aches and twinges I used to feel all over my body when I had exerted myself in the garden or doing housework.
Yoga keeps me feeling grounded, fit and more flexible and able to tackle projects with ease.
I would recommend yoga to everyone for general strength, balance and flexibility and to help overcome physical injury.”

Lynn has been a star student at Repose Yoga. She has kept herself fit and injury-free by regularly attending the Hatha classes and Restorative classes. Watching Lynn over the years as left me in absolute awe. Love and blessings to her always.
